Thanks for the tip, Jean, but it is not working either. I compare the behaviour of a █ symbol a got somehwere in the internet versus the one provided by win charmap and get the following: By the way, both SMath and Table Region are updated.

1. WinCharmap ... TT OpenSymbol [TT = True Type] 2. Browse the symbol/select ... it shows in the line 3. Copy/paste in header "paste in there" 4. Nothing shows ... Ah ! 5. Paste then type 1 it shows symbol ... backspace 1 6. Now you just have symbol ........................... 7. You can accumulate symbols in the select/copy line 8. Browse/select, browse/select ... 9. Copy, paste in header for all those symbols 10. Like before: paste, type 1 ... backspace 1

... SS 6179 does not open SS 7542 ... wrong format. Make sure the document is in native Smath font style.

Davide, it is working now! Great job!
Jean, sorry for not replying you. In fact I have no idea how to check what you mentioned, but I should have given you a feedback anyway.

It seems you didn't catch the procedure to insert symbols from CharMap. It works SS 6179, why not your latest SS ? What Unicode is doing in maths latin letters. Like you say: end of doctoring ... Cheers ... Jean

Feature request: I propose to allow the units summary to accept also vectors of string-coded units (as used in the header) Benefit: - Display of the unit summary would be possible with nice pretty printing - Guaranteed consistency between units applied to the data and displayed units. In fact, it would be best to avoid encoding and to dirctly specify the units. Yet that seems to be impossible as long as the storage is only in base units. The example below shows how to extract a valid unit summary out of a header with string-coded units. Tableunits.sm (19kb) downloaded 18 time(s). |
