I do not recommend to use this function, because its behavior is not obvious. You can change the current directory of the current process, but it can vary due to external conditions. For example if you save document using Save As option. I did it for myself because I didn't want to write long paths. You can combine her job with a different function from that library. I do not quite understand what exactly needs.

I think, I can write my own wfile and rfile function, if you really need this. I can add support for file paths.

Something like this?

I've added two functions to the MathcadFileAccess plugin: wfile(3) and rfile(2). You can try to use them.

The two functions work perfect for me.
It seems that they are the same as the standard rfile wfile functions, used in a special (explicite) format ??? or yours functions are replacing purely and simply this funtions conserving only the names ?

However for my practical useit it is what I expected.

Thanks again and Best Regards,
Ioan

They use the same system functions, so you can say that they are doing the same thing. The code size in few lines, so I just wrote them again. You can ask Andrey to add these features to the standard functions.
