Here, we are not talking about display scale. "logpts" is something else.
In Physics/Science, very few phenomenons are of the growing form
[polynomial, exp ...] which are conveniently represented in linear discrete.
"logpts" was designed to best represent the "more massive real life".
To appreciate this, two examples are attached. You can copy/paste each one
separately [each one is stand alone]. Observe the rich population in the
critical linear interpolation range.
