Am I missing something here? It seems that the sum(1) function that's supposed to provide the sum of the elements of a vector/matrix is coming up with an error in the basic summation. In the screenshot attached, the sum(1) function totals 87.288 kips for a 4 element single column matrix that adds up to 86.215 kips by hand on a calculator, by adding the elements individually in SMath, and by an L1 norm function. It's over 1 kip different, so it shouldn't be rounding in any way. Is there something different about the sum(1) function that would cause it to come up with a different answer, or is this a bug?

I'm trying to replicate this issue, but for me all calculations are ok.
Please check your SMath version..

Yeah, I'm on the same version as you: appVersion(4)="1.0.8348.30405". When I copy that data into a new sheet or enter new data in a new sheet and sum it, it works out, same as what you're seeing. But it still displays the wrong sum in the original sheet. I'm going to have to take a look at it more tomorrow with fresh eyes, but thanks for the quick response. I hadn't actually tried it in a clean worksheet earlier, so there must be something in my other worksheet causing a problem.

Same as Oscar, because we both composed on new sheet.
