You might have a look at the context menu options (right mouse button) in math regions. The options relevant for you are - optimization: numeric/symbolic - fractions: fractions/decimal You also can insert any number or expression in the results unit placeholder. Be very careful, because symbolic optimization is rather unreliable. This is numeric optimization with fractions decimal: 1/3+1/2=0.8333 This is symbolic optimization or numeric optimization and fractions: fractions 1/3+1/2=5/6

If you really want you can get this: 1.5=3@1/2 How was this done? Use 1/2 as unit. Clearly, this leads to misunderstandings and cannot be recommended. The solution for your problem would be to introduce an additive result split similar to the multiplicative split that is the base of result units handling. Of course, there would be some markup required in order to tell one from the other in printed output. |
