Hi,
Can someone share an example of plotting a basic sine wave as a function of time.
I am running into some difficulties with the graphing part.
Regards, Vijay Khatri

Have you had a look at the wiki here: https://smath.info/wiki/Graphs.ashxAlso take a look at the Interactive SMath Handbook put together by Martin. You can find it by going to tools ->Plugins then clicking on Interactive Books in the left panel. I cannot remember if it's installed by default or not. If it's not there you can download it by further clicking on the "Local Storage" button and selecting "Online Gallery" and choosing to install it from there. |

Hi All, I have a question related to the plotting, it miight be very trivial but I can't seem to figure it out. In the attached file, Basic_sine.sm (8kb) downloaded 20 time(s).I have used similar approach in MathCad and it works, however in SMath it does not. Regards, Vijay

Looks like you need to multiply omega by the unit 's (This makes the input to the sine function unitless). The standard sin() function doesn't seem to like units. I'm not sure if this is a bug or not. Note that 'deg is actually unit-less (it's simply a scale factor) Basic_sine[1].sm (9kb) downloaded 69 time(s).Edit: I'm fairly certain it's not a bug. Inputs to trig functions with any format other than radians or degrees is meaningless. Edited by user 09 May 2018 17:56:17(UTC)
