Random looks naive and simple ... it is no so !
Read more on that: Knuth [Semi-numerical Algorithms].
In Smath, Random(2) is uniform, i.e: band limited.
Not very profitable for signal analysis that requires
more realistic noise generators. Mathcad, offers more
built-in "noises" [Uniforn, normal, Weibull, logistic]
This collection is under construction [few more days].

In the mean time, get interested visiting this primer.
1. randomize uniform a function.
2. get normal noise from module 'h'
3. Signum noise dates back from Mathcad 6 or 7
a stand alone noise generator of remarkable randomness.
4. very interesting Thermal noise from uniform.

Getting valid information from collected data is simply deceptive
Not a job for novices users of advanced systems [Smath, R, Mathcad ...]

Enjoy, Jean
