This is a minor issue. When I enter (9+3) - it would seem that the cursor should move outside of the last parentheses to continue input?

Right now, if I enter (9+3)/2 character for character, it get (9+3/2) not (9+3)/2.

I'm using the latest beta 0.89 build 8.

SMath Studio is a really nice alternative to MathCad!

You are right. Use arrow key for this.

Yes, I've been using arrow keys as a workaround - that is why I refer to the issue as minor, but one that should be corrected if possible.

Ok, I see the difference... In MathCad when I type "(9+3)" it does NOT automatically insert the second parentheses, whereas SMath does. Knowing this, ignore my "minor issue" - SMath just works a little differently here - in some ways it makes more sense.

Looking forward to another release!!
