I am working currently on quite long calculation procedure (20 pages/screens long) and a feature like "Search" or "Find" would be REALLY useful.

Or is it already implemented and I just cannot "find" it? (pun intended :-)

Regards

Stan

Hello Stan,

At the moment, you have Dynamic assistance. Just click in the empty place and start typing. The list of all variables, functions, units etc. will be presented (valid at the particular point in the worksheet - depending on the place from where you clicked) in the list starting with the characters you typed.

Thank you.

Yes, I know, but I meant something else.

Say I am doing a very long procedure with 10 "steps", and I wanted to jump quickly from the text box "Input data" to "Calculate intermediate values" and then to "Refine parameters". How do I do that? Scrolling through 200 equations is really time consuming.

Stan

Hello Stan,

Unfortunately, I think there is no "Find" or "Search" inside textbox applied in SMath yet.

The "Area" region might help. If you have say, 10 distinctive "steps", you can put them inside the "Area" region and collapse them. Scrolling will be much easier and faster. Just an idea.

Radovan

Thanks Radovan,

Yes, the "Area" might be a workaround, but it was not implemented in my current version so I was puzzled a bit. Will need to download the newer one.

But I still think the "Search" or "Find" (like Ctrl+F in Mathcad) would be very useful.

Regards

Stan
