I was using this file when I made the typing mistakes shown above. SourceFile.smBTW: I use Photobucket for sharing photos in forums, but I haven't really got a similar facility to share files (code). Can anyone recommend something? The above link is to Google, which seems to work, but doesn't seem as elegant as something that just lets the reader click on the file and have it open in SMath. Also, THANK YOU for working on this project (SMath) and THANK YOU for keeping current on the forum. SMath is very cool! Radovan, Thank you for the hints on the wiki and on the link to Dropbox! Very cool. I apologize for not having followed the forum and wiki contents for enough time to really get the flavor for all of the content <as mentioned here many times> - I thought from my review that Andrey Ivashov might have been the sole developer. My day job is being the director of engineering for a company. We do both hardware and software development. The complexity of SMath is such that I am totally blown away that a single individual would have the skills (architectural and developmental) as well as the drive (stick to it-ness) to bring something like SMath to the level of sophistication that it currently exists at. I am very impressed by the effort and project and very grateful for the opportunity to have such a wonderful tool available. I've been paying the MathCad folks for licenses since Ver 3.0 - SMath seems to be a nice alternative for many many applications. You are welcome Bob Thank you for your kind words regarding Smath project and for using it. Do not hesitate to ask whatever you want about it (in is not important if something has already mentioned or not). People can halp this project in different ways. One thing is to find bugs (as you did - thank you). Moreover, good willing programers can extend it by writing plugins - for their own use or for sharing with us as well. Regards, Radovan |

Don't know if this is the same issue or a new one. Same file as above. Was just modifying the example. Seems to be an issue with t generating a large result as an exponent. If I constrain t to be -3 <= t <= 3 every thing works. Am using a different machine and the portable application today.   Had a similar issue crop up with the next example using sinh and cosh. Will post below.

Hello Bob,
I do not know as well if these things are related or not. There is obviously some problem with 2D plot region and plotting a two column matrix under some specific situations. SMath should not crash anyway - but report some warning or error messages. Andrey will fix it as soon as he can. In order to help him, just put some more problematic examples.

Maybe more of the same... Was using the portable version on my laptop again. The crash occurred when I accidentally typed -44 instead of -4 as the lower bound on t.  Edited by user 23 December 2010 09:32:08(UTC)
