Hi,

I find that using SMath as a teacher is a wonderful tool. There are a few caveats though:

1. I can't get the program to print in landscape mode. I can choose landscape, but it prints in portrait anyway. I'm using Linux Mint 8. Every other application prints fine in landscape mode.

2. I've found that, sometimes, I can't open .sm files from the mono version with the portable version. Only the first character in the files is shown. Something to do with an object (I'm not at work now - can post the exact error message tomorrow). Using Linux at home and Windows XP at work this is rather inconvenient. The file is in a Dropbox account so it is 100% certain that it is the same file.

3. Not a showstopper, but the spacing between characters seem to change a bit when printing from the Mono version. The = sign touches the characters on both sides. This doesn't happen in the portable version which my students use on different versions of Windows.

Regards,

Lars

Tested on Windows - no problems. Will check with Mono later.

Can you provide program version numbers of the SMath Studio copies you use where file can/cannot be opened? If there is no differences between versions, please, send a file in subject to me (through forum or e-mail).

Will check Mono version of SMath Studio soon.

Best regards, Andrey Ivashov.
