Hey, I might have found a bug here: Differentiating x^2-2x+3 gives a wrong result according to logic and calculators.

I also checked on 0.85 and 0.85.3578 - no such observation. What version of SMath Studio do you use?

Hello Mike, I had similar errors. I was puzzled sometimes but I figured out that it is very useful to use the ability of SMath to put the mouse pointer over the expression, and you could see (if it is not to complicated) the symbolic representation of it. Like this: Or just to check by symbolic evaluation. Sometimes happened that there are differences (do not know why). I can not be sure that the same is in this case, but Mike could you please check it out. If this is true just delete the expression an type it again. Regards, Radovan |
