Way back in MAthCADs tenure (ca MathCAD 8) there was a way of linking drawings (Smartsketch) to your calculations. Is there a way of doing this in SMath? I think FreeCAD may be a possibility as it allows for Python programming and it's 3D (Parametric Clapping ). I like LibreCAD (2D Sad ), because I can get it as a portable app. Comments, suggestions?

Some CAD programs (e.g. Autodesk Inventor) can be driven by parameters in excel sheets. There is good excel connectivity by means of the XLSX Import/Export plugin by Davide Carpi.

Also, SMath seems to have a 2D drawing region which can be driven by calculation results, see here. You also might try the Constructor region (available in the SVN server. This plugin has been updated recently by Andrey. I did not compile or test this, however. But may be, this will become part of the next SMath release.

The repository is here. I use TortoiseSVN to browse it.

Click on the Code button on the top of the forum...

constructor region sources

BTW as you can see in the plugin gallery, this plugin actually is not available, so use it (if this is possible) with caution (f.e. not for productivity purposes)
