Hello.
I want to introduce new approach for extensions delivery.
Idea is simple - every plug-in or example, handbook, tutorial or SMath Studio itself are products. In the scope of the project every such item must have its own web-page with all related information: full description, screenshots, links to related pages in Internet, ratings and etc.
It must be easy to access these pages for users and for search engines.
All web-pages will be designed in one style in order to provide better user experience.
To see those web-pages you can follow links from the screenshot:
This is how separate web-page looks for SMath Studio:
Note that it contains more info then current HomePage - it shows beta-versions as well and links to related resources.
This is how separate web-page for 3D Plot Region looks
for user:
Please note a new footer added: it contains all tools I've created in the scope of SMath.
This is how separate web-page for 3D Plot Region looks
for extension author:
Add buttons appears on hover elements by mouse.
It is possible to move or delete items using your mouse - just hover the elements:
It is also possible to specify convenient url for the web-page directly on the web-page.
I hope you will find it useful!
Plans for the future:
- Page about File Type plug-ins will contain list of supported extensions.
- Page about Evaluation plug-ins will contain list of handled primitives (f.e. functions) with their descriptions.
- Reviews from users with rating.
BTW: I'm also thinking if it is possible to avoid "/view" folder in Url, so maybe we will be able to access Extenions' pages using even simpler Urls like smath.info/WriterRegion (this is just an example for now).
BTW#2: I hope requests to
smath.info server will finally redirect to
smath.info/view/SMathStudio or
smath.info/SMathStudio.
Please, if you think something must be implemented additionally or corrected, let me know.
