I've evaluated an expression thus:

p:= 1.234567

2.p^3 - 10.p^2 + 23.p - 5 = 11.9168

Is there a way to change the format of the result so it displays to five decimal places?

I'm using the Windows edition of SMath Studio, build 0.89 (build: 3856)

Try in the menu bar:

Tools --> Options --> Calculation Tab

There you can set the desired number of decimal places. But this will apply to all worksheets and to all results in each worksheet. I do not believe that there is currently any way to set the number of decimal places for each individual result. I believe that others have requested this feature.
