Hello.

In text mode, the words printed in Hebrew appear in reverse order. Letters in words appear from right to left - as they are supposed to be, but the words appear from left to right, while they should appear from right to left. Is it possible to add an automatic or manual RTL - LTR switch?

Many thanks for considering my request.

Greetings,

This isn't a solution, but a possible workaround: Try using different whitespace characters to separate words:
Code:

This should have the effect of you writing (1) LONG word, thus the characters and the individual words should all appear in the correct order. If this workaround works, you type your text normally, and then just copy/replace the special whitespace character for a normal space.

With that being said, not all whitespace is created equal, if the Character I referenced above doesn't cut it, explore other characters.

Hope this helps,

Thank you for the idea, yet it isn't straightforward to use. It takes a lot of time and looks not professional.
Too bad that I can not use such a good tool because of such a minor problem.

Greetings,

I think I have a better understanding of your predicament. Instead of Bugs/Problems, this thread may be more suitable as a requested feature.

Regardless, I do have another work-around idea for you.
  • New Word: - Instead of typing a 「Space」; use the keypresses: 「Home」 & 「Space」 & 「Home」, this should get the text-cursor in front of the word you just typed
  • New Line: - Instead of word-wrap taking the first word and pushing it to the second line, use 「End」 & 「Shift」+「Enter」 to manually jump to the next line

Not a fix, but more practical than inserting special characters. You may have the most luck by copy/pasting text in the correct format; granted this would be annoying and tedious as well.

Good luck!

Have you tried composing the text in Bloc-notes.
Copy/paste in Smath text region and Writer region.
