Just downloaded the app and in a glance at a video I thought I saw some shapes on the Smath screen... thus the questions...

1 - Can you do simple illustrative drawing in smath? Like maybe a simple schematic diagram?

2 - What about symbols like EE symbols... resistors, capacitors, inductors, etc?

Thanks for any help.

1. Yes attached examples... SS 6179
2. No need to re-invent the wheel, use them from libraries [paste as image].
Please report if the documents turn red or do not compute completely.

Utilities XY [Draw Truss Labels].sm (24kb) downloaded 78 time(s).
Inst_Filtrate Bin Copy.sm (260kb) downloaded 52 time(s).

The Getting Started Tutorial has a section on sketches and their annotation.
Might be a good idea to go through this tutorial anyways. You can use any SVG or PNG editor, or even DXF from within SMath.

The web is over-killed of symbols.
1. Get the ones you want,
2. Capture in some way(s), paste in WinGrag [freeware],
3. WinGrab sizes by pixels as you wish [it respects the aspect ratio],
4. Associate those images in Smath,
5. Print screen, paste in Paint, clean, add lines as required.
You are asking for a CAS/CAD

Smath is a CAS [Computer Algebra System]
AutoCad is a CAD [Computer Assisted Drawing].
I'm not aware of freeware CAS/CAD, but lot of freeware CAD.
ISO differs from EEE !!! stupid enough like the unit systems.
Similar idiotic: you drive the car in km/h
OACI altitude is in 'm' but you pilot the plane in 'knots'
When NASA altitude reads 0 [ground], you are 6 m under ground.

Jean, late thanks for this post.
- Where to download WinGrab from the authors site... or other trustworthy site?
- What is the big advantage over the built in Windows 10 Print Screen... then paste into Paint and edit?
- Regarding an integrated CAS/CAD... didn't consider that when asking.
- I'm quite happy now that I've discovered you can, in effect, import and place a drawing in SMath.
- Including double clicking the image area to bring up PC Paint.
- Wonder if there is a way to have it bring up InkScape or other drawing packages...
without having to change the "default" app for Photo Viewer in Win10?

No matter... I'm a happy camper :-)

Simply Google for WinGrab, download. You will have to code some keys.
My Paint Win 7 junior is just a piece of crap, maybe yours is better.
All the symbols you have captured then zoomed Wingrab by pixels
drop them in Paint and assemble, done ... select/copy/paste in Smath.
Give it a go !

In a virgin image region, set the file type to SVG in the context menu. Then your standard app for SVG will launch on double click. This can be set to Inkscape. Disadvantage over paint is the longer startup delay.
