Good morning Experts,
I have landed myself into a new IT/troubleshooting position at a new company and one of my first tasks is to resolve a many year long issue.
We have a very old laptop that contains two formulas for calculating Low pressure and High Pressure drops in Gas piping for construction work. we have been using a very old version of mathcad and while surfing the web I came across Smath and i believe i should be able to perform the same executions with this software.
I tried to open the existing files into Smath but the equation no longer solves.
I believe my issue is finding the corresponding function from Mathcad to Smath.
The Mathcad function I am looking to for in Smath is "Find"
Find = Returns the values of var1, var2, ...., that solve a system of equations in a solve block. returns a scalar if there is only one argument, otherwise returns a vector of answers.
i am willing to send the files and share screenshots.
Hope to hear from the web soon!

Jean, attached is a screenshot of the High pressure formula. i do not believe this is proprietary to mathcad. it is just a formula based on building codes for construction. Best Regards,

Jean, we are trying to solve for OP and i have another one where we are trying to solve for PD but if i can manage to figure out how to fix one of them i think i should be able to get the Low pressure to work as well GASHP.sm (11kb) downloaded 13 time(s).

Hello, Your problem seems to be quite simple and mentioned here on the Forum many times (maybe to many...). Using solve() GASHP-cor.sm (10kb) downloaded 10 time(s).Using FindRoot() from Numerical Solvers plugin GASHP-cor1.sm (11kb) downloaded 16 time(s).Regards, Radovan |

Experts, Thank you so much for the help. I have attached the other formula on this thread. i still do not follow how to write a solve equation correctly. GASLP.sm (8kb) downloaded 11 time(s).
