  • luce muy bueno el programa, demasiado útil, una potente herramienta de calculo de uso libre

  • Great tool for all engineers. It's very user-friendly and has lots of functionalities that can be further extended by installing plug-ins (it takes just a few clicks, no need for tedious file manipulations). SMath can operate on units, perform symbolic calculations and many more. Also, it has very clear interface and all formulas can be entered just like you would do on a piece of paper. What's more, the software has great community of people willing to help with various issues.

  • This is a great piece of software! I use it on my Linux machine. With best regards from Munich, Germany.

    by Stefan Schmidhuber

  • Probably the best free math program out there. As a mechanical engineering student, so many calculations can be almost entirely automated using SMath Studio.

    by Bellus

  • trop bien ce programme....pour faire de fiches de calcul. en plus on peut ouvrir des fiches Mathcad sans souci aucun.

    by aedes

  • As a Civil Engineering professor, I've realized to be hard to find a software suitable for both introductory and advanced subjects. SMath is the only free software I know to get the job done. Try it out.

    by João Felipe Melo

  • Excellent software, a great job, we must support with financial contributions. Good job Andrey and the sponsors and creators.

Thanks Andrey for cuddling our so cherished Smath.
By same token, does it run correctly the Fission project ?
It failed previous SS 7109.
Cheers ... Jean

Project Fission.sm (167kb) downloaded 40 time(s).

It seems that this new version of Smath Studio has several problems, for example sometimes
it omits showing the description of the variable.

Show_Description_bad.png

In the Tables, it does not respect the settings given in any previous version.

Table_Bad_Setting.png

For now it is all that I have found, and I wonder, why in each new version, one thing is fixed and another is upset?

Thank you.

Best Regards

Carlos

My suggestion is augment/enhance SS 6179.
1. Clean arithmetic palette from [1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,0 ... +,-,*,/ =]
2. Replace Gamma(x) by Alvaro 15 D accuracy.
3. Add Carlos integrator algorithm.
4. Design a Clear(,) that evaporates previous use.
5. Maths in text region is baby classroom ...
Mathsoft demonstrated, only Jean used it few times.
6. Some Mathcad documents ORIGIN 0 can't be converted ORIGIN 1,
thus exclude Smath as well.
... few more

Cheers ... Jean

BTW Carlos: Fission is OK or red like 7109 ?

I too observe the Problem with Tables in 7200.
Additionally, Maple tools also failed.

It is because complexity of the program is very big and I have no testers except myself. I just can't test everything before every single release. That is why I introduced beta versions, so we can catch all problems before stable release.

Best regards.

Hello Andrey,

This problem was fixed in the recent version (7201). Thank you.

this problem triggered another one regarding the small numbers.
I am still quite puzzled with this. Especially when you are trying different optimizations???

I've checked TableRegion and see that it uses <regions> tag to store data which is restricted as SMath Studio uses this tag for its own purposes. I've implemented a workaround to the logic of opening files to allow TableRegion work with <regions> tag but I can't guarantee that this workaround will continue working in future releases. So, it is pretty important to switch plug-in to use another tag name for its purposes.

Best regards.
