I have version 0.99.7005.38226 on two Windows 10 computers. I added the "SingleInstance=0" line to the end of settings.inf after the latest update on both computers. This only seemed to have changed the single-window behavior on one of the computers. I've rebooted after making the settings.inf change, are there any other steps I need to take to ensure the setting takes effect?

That's correct. On the computer that seemed to have taken the SingleInstance=0 setting into effect, I didn't even have to reboot. But on the computer that isn't behaving correctly, I have restarted it.

Hello.

1) Close all instances of SMath Studio;
2) Set SingleInstance=0
3) Open SMath Studio.

Nothing else is required.
