These 3 Smath documents are minimalist: Scientific/Engineering/Edu. 1. Germanium sensors as Secondary Standard ... as delivered 2. Pt sensors as Primary Standard [check more for their range]. 3. Thermocouples T/C types T, J for industrial applications. You may afford an household cheap thermometer.
