Hi everybody,

in our office we use a lot of SMath Viewer files.
It is the safest way for me to develop small programs and calculation procedures, and to hand-over to my office colleagues the resulting calculation tools in a controlled way, so that everybody can change the input parameters and obtain a pdf of the underlying calculation, without messing around into the source .sm file.

Now, as you know, when a page interruption is introduced into .sm source file, the corresponding .exe will add a tab in the calculation, thus separating the .exe user interface into multiple tabs (good feature!).
But it can also happen that, in order to optimize an output result which is located in the last "tab", a user needs to go back to the first tab and try to change some input parameters (such a wall thickness, a dimension, etc...).... see if the output is ok with the acceptance criteria.. if not, back again to the first tab, and so on.
And this could happen for multiple parameters which all together are influencing the final results (if somebody is familiar with the ASME Code requirements to design a pressure vessel flange, that's exactly the "trial and error" approach on multiple possible parameters that I'm thinking of..).

So, here is my question.
Would it be possible to implement an additional "results preview", separated from the "tabs" view, and always displayed (similarly to the Output Window in SMath studio);
It should be populated (only?) by the trace() command as in Smath Studio.

This would allow to work on the first tabs input parameters of an SMath Viewer file, having the "main output" immediately shown in an additional window and speeding up the whole process.

I know that this proposal is not a "core" topic, but I have the feeling (correct me if I'm wrong..) that it could be introduced into SMath Viewer since the fundamental elements ("trace" and an Output Window) are in place in the Studio environment, and are suitable for that precise use in Smath Studio...

Hello.

Ok, I will try to handle both requests (tabs recalculation and output window) in Viewer within next Month.

Best regards.
