  • This fantastic free alternative to Mathcad is going from strength to strength and I am really enjoying watching its progress. Andrey has produced something that is genuinely useful, multiplatform, fun to use and, most importantly of all, he listens to his users. Well worth a download.

  • Without a doubt it is one of the best tools for engineering, a good substitute for Mathcad

There is a strange user experience when installing plugins.

In the extension manager, everything (didn't install really everything, just the usual candidates) seems to be ok, except for the image region:

2018-01-25 22_41_29-SMath Studio 0.98.6598 - [Page1_].png

Then I close SMath and restart:

2018-01-25 22_48_35-Plug-ins failed to start.png

Then I update the just installed plugins, after restart I get this:

2018-01-25 22_50_01-Plug-ins failed to start.png

Image region works.
Snapshot region saves to the desktop instead to the document directory by default.

Symbolic element access costs scale over-linearly with vector size, numeric scales linearly
