Hello!

I'm glad to inform about finish of the work on multilanguage Units! Actually I don't know if this feature is important anywhere except Russia, but exactly in Russia this one is very important. Please leave a comment in this topic if you have localized units in your country!

Multilingual Units is the last step I planned to implement real support for the most important localization differences. Real support means that all interface strings, text Regions, naming style of the functions, Units and arguments/decimal separators can be localized!

Please check these pictures out to see all the differences. Note that this is the same file opened within SMath Studio with different local specified (Russian on the left and English on the right).

Best regards, Andrey Ivashov.

Hello Andrey Good

The official alphabet in Serbia is Cyrillic. However, we use both Cyrillic and Latin alphabet. Therefore, there are two localized versions of SMath - like many other localized software including even operating systems like Windows or Linux. Unfortunately, as far as I know, there is no accepted convention regarding units and Cyrillic alphabet - as it was in Russian. Although there is no problem to use Cyrillic for units, IMHO the most accepted and safest way for Serbian (both Cyrillic and Latin) is to use Internationally defined units in their original Latin or Greek alphabet.

Regards,
Radovan

Another step performed: now one can compose worksheets with localized text within expressions using description(1) function! See the screenshots below (note, Description for error variable set in different languages, as Descriptions supports multilanguage).

P.S.: Will be available in next SMath Studio release.

Best regards.

A bit more regarding description(1) function (it will also support description of the built-in functions/variables/units):

Suppose it could be convenient to use it at least in learning purposes.

Best regards, Andrey Ivashov.
