I will likely be cleaning up the functionality of the plugin in next couple months.

Are there any requests for the image region plugin? Given it is one of the most popular SMath plugins I am pleased to see no comments over the past 5 years.

Image Region - done right the first time!

From recollection, there was a request for a pasted image
to be associated with a description ... likely not honored.

Hi Alex. You are right. Great job. It would be used a more recent version of the SVG' DLL in your plugin and you may see if you can implement some of the commands to draw on SVG (like here) or pixel by pixel (like here).

Best regards.
Alvaro.

There are some issues in the bug tracking system related to image region. Yet I didn't check if they still are valid.

I experience loss of temp files of image regions in case of multiple instances of SMath. When copying objects or when trying to save the file, error messages pop up that some temp files aren't found.

My suspicion is that the image region doesn't cleanly separates temp data for individual instances and cleanup might be overgreedy.

This recently has lead to loss of contents in my work. For use with Maxima Draw commands this is less of an issue, because the images are generated dynamically and do not depend on storage by the image region.

As it looks, Image Solver 30405 does not works same as SS 6179.
If I want to close an image in session I can't.
It reports "Please wait current operation to finish"
Up until now, I have been able to doctor only one Image.
I suspect Solver 30405 does not auto-save within itself like SS 6179.
If so ... a damned bug !
Jean
