New Stable SMath Studio 1.0.8253 is available!

Tiny, but powerful mathematical program with WYSIWYG editor and complete units of measurements support.

It provides numerous computing features and rich user interface translated into about 40 different languages. Application also contains integrated mathematical reference book.

Application can be easily extended based on your needs. Built-in Extensions Manager tool allows to get access to hundreds official and third-party resources of the following types: usage examples, plug-ins, SMath Viewer based applications, snippets, interface translations, interactive books, handbooks and tutorials.

Changes introduced in current build

Improvements

  • Doubleclick on the unit placeholder (at right-hand side of the calculation result) opens Insert Unit dialog with suggested dimension now;
  • Go to Definition command opens Insert Unit dialog with unit/dimension details when applicable now;
  • Units dialog improved to display unit definition;
  • Approximately not equal operator implemented.

Corrections

  • Closing of the Worksheet when file saving is required fixed;
  • Observations happens in some cases with Approximately Equal operator when comparing small numbers fixed;
  • Command line functionality restored.

Miscellaneous

  • Window with empty Worksheet is now automatically closed on open a file (no empty documents are generated now);
  • Refactoring.

Thank you. I haven't been here much, but always support and appreciate the work that has gone into this project.
So, doing a clean OS install and I checked to confirm the latest version. The portable version of 1.8151 did NOT let me know that there was an update available...

Davide,
That is correct. This is for the portable version. Looks like Andrey posted 4 days ago and I was the first comment ... maybe others didn't get the update pop-up message on their full install as well.
Time to reload my OSesesesese.

Привет Андрей!

Я хотел бы использовать в расчётах момент, но до сих пор не нашёл. Положи пожалуйста в SMath (изгибающий момент, вращающий момент, крутящий момент - единицы 'Nm' и 'kNm'Wink.

Я нашёл ещё ошибку в венгерском языке, 'Ellenálás' не правильно, надо писать 'Ellenállás' (по-русски сопротивление).

Пока момента в списке единиц нет, можете использовать составленные единицы: 'N*'m.
Мне также неудобно что всегда нужно ручно изменить J на. 'N*'m. Но так и будет при наличии 'Nm т.к. это вряд ли хорошая единица по умольчанию для всяких величин размерности сила на длину. Скорее вчего для большинства имеется в виду работа или энергия.

Hello Andrey, to let you know the below was not addressed in 1.0.8253:

Updating from 1.0.8151 to 1.0.8238 broke background printing of smath document. I used to be able to copy paste the file onto one note page (for collaboration), right click on it and "insert as printout" (see screenshot). This functionality broke down with switch to 1.0.8238. I will stay at 1.0.8151 for now.
