Davide, thanks for the update. I point out that by downloading the documentation file (.SM file in the post # 1) I have verified a strange behavior: First the open file does not contain well-paged; but mainly by clicking at any canvas point, large white regions that cover everything appear. sergio

Hello Sergio, I'm not able to reproduce this behavior. Can you check if it happens to you even in a clean portable build on the same machine? That's the expected layout: Edited by user 30 December 2021 15:38:40(UTC)

Maybe your issue with white blanks is this or not but it worths a try. Only solution is either installing the missing fonts or editing sm file with a text editor. I usually change all text fonts to courier new at that point. Regards

Overlord, I tried to do what you suggested even if the content characters are present in my PC because very common on Widows (Verdana, calibers etc ..). In fact he did not give the desired result. But the experiment was useful to understand that when I click on one of the white areas that are generated by the "Writer Region" plugin the character for the area was set up to a dimension 975 (ie the point or the comma is lost according to of the language of 9.75). Resetting the size to 10 the area resumed a normal size and the layout of the file was more compliant with how much posted by Davide (but not perfect yet). The sentence is therefore that the problem is linked to that plugin "Writer Region". sergio

Thank you very much, the problem about the decimal place is probaly related to some localization setting, I think I can fix it easily. TBH I'm more concerned about the second Writer Region ("to add this region in the canvas...") that is somehow pushed down, unlike the others. |

Originally Posted by: PompelmoTell Resetting the size to 10 the area resumed a normal size I have not encountered white blanks before due to font sizes. But it seems and possibly the culprit of your large white blanks. Another trick to remember if I ever see this issue. Sometimes blank REGION segments force crash SMath too. And there is a blacked background regions issue. They are always Jean's ancient v6179 files btw. Only possible solution for these is always text editor. Removing or revising is main correction.

Davide, now seems to work all correctly. I don't have a second problem but everything was linked to the management of the point or comma in the "Writer Region" plugin. Grazie ancora e auguri. sergio
