Alvaro,
Read another post, I was able to reappear the great job you had presented here and that I had a little forgotten despite being quite recent. Reopening the file again, however, for the only case of the logarithmic spiral, but for both graphics (native SMath and XY plugin) the background image is scaled and consequently also not congruent with the overlapping curve. Non-evidence scaling parameters in the treatment of the image. There are no problems with catenary.

Hi Sergio. Yes, you are right. An issue about 32 / 64 bits SMath versions?

SMath 64 bits on windows 10

SMath 32 bits on windows 7

win7.jpg

Best regards.
Alvaro.

It seems that there are an issue on image2rgb function. Please check how Nautilus.jpg looks and how it is load by image2rgb in SMath, showing it in a Image region plugin.

Ok:

win10.jpg

Wrong:

win7.jpg

Best regards.
Alvaro.

Hi Sergio. So, I have not idea which could be the issue. In my case the image is displayed complete on SMath 64 bits but incomplete with SMath 32 bits.

You can try to change the parameters in yellow with this values for get the spiral equation

I did it (even if I didn't come perfectly as any regeneration is rather slow and there was no specific interest). My consideration was just to understand.
Thank you.
sergio
