Hello,

Thought it might be of interest to the community to know that there is a new kid on the block when it comes to free-form Engineering Math Calculation Software called Maple Flow.

It is developed by MapleSoft and seems to be a direct competitor to Mathcad. From the videos it looks very similar to Mathcad and SMath

Just wasted a weekend trying Maple Flow.
It is a total disappointment and seems half baked in UI and usability.
Far behind Mathcad and SMath Studio in terms of simple text edits, moving text etc.

If someone is keen on Maple engine, might as well use Maple regular,

I was so pained using Maple Flow, that I had to explicitly write this review and praise SMath for the awesome job done.

Simple example of half baked editor-
Select a bunch of 'text' and press backspace, or Delete. It wont delete.

You forgot the best Vivek they ask 2,265.00 $ for it.

There is a huge bug in the installer that is so big that I can't image how they have missed it. It's been there for a few months at least. I really start grumling a lot when I see that from a multi thousands dollars software it is absolutly ridiculous. I found two big bugs while trying it, there is probably a lot more.I am refering to Maple which is the engine behind Maple Flow.

No bug were reported Mathcad 8 Pro. 11.2a
Mona [Mathsoft] reported one of my MCD 11
crashed her MCD 14 at Mathsoft home !!!
Mathematica 4.0 was delivered with a list of bugs.
In 6 years, I found no bug in my Smath SS 6179.
Have you installed from a CD, USB or from a download ?
You may have to recover Windows from before installing,
re-install with all AV disabled ?
Cheers ... Jean.

Hi Jinny

Could you tell me what the "huge bug" refers to? Did you report it?
