And I know you love stable releases Good , this function works only on latest betas. Beta
Maybe you change your mind after these fancy functions are introduced in new release, maybe not Confusion

I have an error of "T" not defined in the file of Alvaro and Jean.
I modified the algorithm to apply it directly, and I get the same results from Jean.

Hi Radovan. You are perfectly right! I just can't found a good starting point for use it.

Best regards.

Alvaro.

Radovan,

Can you attach the work sheet , please.
That will save time to reconstruct and of great tutorial value.
Finally, this project is of great interest.

Thanks, Jean

No need for more, thanks anyway.

A minute job to put it in shape, works piecewise [sanity]
but globally crashes Smath , force PC OFF, restart.
Damned annoying a version crashes a previous one ?
The best/simplest is Carlos Matrix[i,j
Its the one from which I did the Genfit rational model,

Hi. Here the Radovan solver, and with a loop for the second range.

Hello all,

I am sorry if I made any confusion here. I used the file in this Jean's post and just added at the end the same calculation with FindRoot() (picture in this post) instead od Bisection(). Just wanted to try it and add it to this problem as an alternative, nothing else. For instance, I could see that if we use some other guess value some of the calculations will give some non viable solutions (like on the attached picture). Moreover, I mentioned many times that nonlinear solvers are one of the great importance for me and having, say, lots of root finding functions are some of the "must have" things. I also mentioned few times that I had to give up from some of the nonlinear problems - in SMath I just did not know how to solved them.

I had some time to review the posts and complete the worksheet, which concurs with MathCad.

Wow! Three years later...

Best regards,

Well done ... will save as doctored attached.
Only one plot is enough. For export, you may want to mesh finer.

Hi Norm. Great job. Just an (old) note: You are not using Bisection from the function in the worksheet, but from Nonlinear solvers. For instance, try to delete the entire procedure, results are the same.

Best regards.
Alvaro.

Bisection had & has special meaning in Mathcad, module designed by Robert A.
I have NOT implemented in Smath, so much are RemToDo.
It populates more points in the region(s) of step entrance/departure.
I have refactored a bit your project, mostly the 'X' population.
Image below is what you should have.
Smath has long times reached incompatibilities from versions to versions.
I'm saying that because, re-opening what I posted was not same !!!
If you don't have the gray fill in the graph, please let me know,
the trick is simple but undocumented.
Take care, be patient ... Jean.
