Let say the two planes X, Y and the level Z plane and in parametric style. That sets the complete 3 D system, meshed at will and supporting the entire user rotation from command line as well as cylindrical/ spherical plots and export the corresponding matrices. Contour is something else of much different nature. Contour plots ends being an XY plot. I have a Mathcad contour program [done by Collab]. Just scared to attempt Coding in Smath. Some of you gurus, I can make an image of the program for your bed time reading. There remains the question about freeware: how far can somebody reverse Engineer and redistribute ? Cheers Alex, Jean

... that's what I meant about a comprehensive "DISLIN start". Contour is for exporting specific contour data. The feed is a matrix, either well populated or splined and you get what you want. Collapse the function, plug the matrix from source or from function ... ready for the contour(s), just few clicks. I lost patience trying to imitate Mathcad "on error". So, attempting the program is not tempting. The program images included in the *.sm work sheet. Jean Contour Electron.sm (240kb) downloaded 46 time(s).

Hello.
Currently I'm working to improve SMath Studio start up time. Have good results (made it up to 4x faster), but I've found that DISLIN plug-in requires from 4 to 14 seconds (different environment) to response on call to GetTermsHandled. Which is the most significant part of SMath Studio start up time.
Is it possible to improve the logic here?
Best regards.

Here you need to keep in mind that the source file with a list of functions is automatically formed using the template distinct.tt. Therefore, it is advisable to come up with a way of automatically adding a description to each function. |
