New SMath Studio 0.91 Stable available

Absolutely free mathematical program with "paper"-like interface and numerous computing features (now with integrated mathematical reference book).

Last changes

  • Ability to trace evaluations through the Output Window implemented;

  • Added ability to modify global variables inside the function using Output Parameters;

  • Trailing zeros option added to Math region;

  • Symbolic evaluation now shown in the Math Region as a simple equal sign (same as for numeric evaluation);
  • PayPal donation method added to Donate dialog;
  • Graph animation improved: animation starts as soon as Plot Region evaluation starts;
  • Optimization of the Math Region now also controls mode of the calculations: Numeric, Symbolic or None;
  • Added ability to remove line from line(..) function using Backspace;
  • Added ability to load plugins from setting directory;
  • Tooltips for the MathRegions with errors (those appeared on mouse hover) restored;
  • Ctrl+= inside the text entry of MathRegion will cause inserting of equal sign now;
  • Empty Math Region removing improved;
  • Support for Tooltips added to Plot Region;
  • Red border is now shown for all Regions evaluated with errors;
  • Optimization context menu is now activated only for Math Region;
  • Undo/Redo options removed from the Context Menu;

  • Options dialog updated: tabs priorities changed, width increased to fix word wrapping issues on Mono;
  • Removed ability to select items from Dynamic Assistance list by pressing the Enter key;
  • Invisible status text issue on program start fixed;
  • Fixed issue appears on separately changing of the axes scale for Plot Regions;
  • Fixed error of representation units with subscript into Dynamic Assistance list;
  • Fixed issue appears when pasting number with standard decimal symbol or entry with subscript into the existing Math Region;
  • Fixed critical Plot Region error appears on wrong input data;
  • Fixed issue when it was impossible to move Region by dragging it's bottom border with a mouse;
  • Fixed error appears on plotting graphs based on some programmable functions that contains if statements;
  • Fixed several errors in symbolic library that causes infinite loop or stack overflow exceptions;
  • Fixed critical error appears when trying to change result (right part after the equal sign) of the equation.- Corrected behavior of showing Regions currently in evaluation state (illuminating them by green rectangle);
  • Fixed error displaying when Variable/Function is not defined - in some case program didn't show the name of variable/function;
  • Fixed inconsistent error displaying when no returning value specified by user for procedures on the Worksheet;
  • Fixed error appears as "ENTER" string filled into the Math Region sometimes trying to insert item from Dynamic Assistance list when no items selected;
  • Fixed Multiple Regions selection issue when Ctrl key pressed;
  • Fixed issue appears when clicking on the selected Region when Scrollbar value is more than zero;
  • Fixed local variables visibility errors;
  • Fixed units parsing error for XMCD files plugin if units name of the program set to English;
  • Language files updated;
  • Refactoring.

    Thanks for the most recent version of SMath Studio, I'm using it to teach my hydraulics class. I did notice, however, that you cannot longer enter Greek characters in text by using the "Cntl+G" keystrokes. The only way to get Greek characters in text is by clicking them off the "Symbols" palette. Could you restore the ability of entering Greek characters using "Cntl+G" in the next version? Thanks!

    Is "Ctrl+G" working for you both in Math and Text regions? It doesn't work in the text region for me as well, as Gilberto mentioned.

    But unfortunately not possible to scale pictures
    Insert \ Picture \ From File

    I make the Picture smaller -> Frame cut the picture
    after this i make the picture bigger, information of the picture get lost (white area)
