Thiele inverse interpolation applies only to monotonous data sets,
and clean enough like for instance: WASP, types T, J thermocouples,
atmospheric [pressure, rho]. Not clean enough data do produce at least
one glitch. By inspection, your data set is not for Thiele and can't be
doctored in any way. The quadratic fit is quite impressive, no sweat.
If you have interest in that fit in the case it comes from some real
application, please let me know so that I will try to find a parametric
model function. The attached water °C(bar) is a superb demo of applying
Thiele on very well collected data from Vukalowitch WASP.
Your data set looks like a humming bird before setting for diner.
