As always, thank you and the team for the new stable release.
As the work progresses to 0.99 releases, would it be possible to
1) Allow English (IP units) as the default for those of us in the US?
2) Consider making some of the plugins an integral part of the software? (e.g. hyperlink, run, writer region, etc. plugins)
Everyone has an opinion as to "what" should be baked in, so this is programmers choice. My request is for some of the "visuals" to creating a report to be part of the base package.
Thank you

Writer region & hyperlink are all explained in their
respective release. What do you mean "run" ?
F9 calculates the all work sheet.

My request is for some of the "visuals" to creating a report to be part of the base package/install. Commands such as PDF Files Plugin, Matlab Math Library, Maple Wrapper, SQL, etc. can continue to be brought in on user's wants'/needs.
As an example, I would love to see the "Writer Region" plugin functionality be part of the base install.
This program is Awesome!!! Thanks to all of the time and effort that all of the programmers put in to make such wonderfully functional software as well as all of the bloggers from around the world ...
Happy Holidays!

1. Matlab: functions are in fx menu "mwXXX"
2. Maple: are user command "maple(_"_)
3.PDF: two ways =>
3.a/ Download free PDF from the web, install, print as PDF [give name].
3.b/ Purchase a more advanceed PDF [typical DocuDesk was $50]
4. SQL [Data Base Management]: Smath is essentially an Engineering Document Creator.
5. Viewer: Not part of the standard 6179 package. What should it do ?

Thanks for the viewer demo. As it looks it captures a live web page and more.
From the page where you have installed Smath 6179:
1. Click on plugin(68)
2. Browse for "Viewer" or else plugin
3. Click to download the plugin of interest [zip]
4. Unzip at the Smath destination
5. Now, "Viewer" is in the "Insert menu'

I uploaded an interactive (german) tutorial "Erste Schritte mit SMath Studio" to my support page. It is a single .sm file with 22 area regions (topics).

https://extmoodle.th-bra...de/course/view.php?id=34

This perhaps could be distributed easily via the online gallery but I am not sure as what type of extension I should register the file.
- handbooks would require pdf or cbm format
- interactive books would be opened in the limited viewer window (the user of the tutorial is expected to perform exercises)
- example would work but is not really the right word for the stuff.

My recommendation would be to extend the handbooks type to accept self-contained (with no dependencies) .sm files.

PS: I failed to add the tutorial to the wiki list. There was an error when producing the preview.

German handbook (316 pages, PDF) updated.

It is based on the pre-configured portable distribution with Maxima, which you can download at TH Brandenburg (Registation required). The file is too large for the extension portal, therefore I distribute it via the external Moodle system of our university.

The distribution comes with a pre-installed interactive handbook (german/english), access it using the help button [?] in the toolbar.

There is also an interactive introduction (tutorial)
